This is Boris
Meet Boris:
His Story:
When Boris was only 6 months old he underwent a common surgery. Unfortunate events during the surgery caused severe nerve damage. Due to the nerve damage, he was diagnosed with megaesophagus. Megaesophagus is a condition in which the esophagus is enlarged and paralyzed, impeding proper peristalsis. In the case of megaesophagus, ingested food is often regurgitated or aspirated into the lungs, causing pneumonia.
After continuous episodes of pneumonia and regurgitation, Boris had surgery to have a feeding tube placed.
Though the feeding tube has helped, Boris still suffers from continuous episodes of pneumonia and will have to use a feeding tube for the rest of his life. Our hearts go out to Boris and his family, who would greatly benefit from any help. To help with his continued medical needs, Boris's family started Boris's Buddies a shop on Etsy, where items purchased will go toward Boris's continued medical care. Feeling even more generous? Visit Boris's Go Fund Me page to help raise funding for his medical needs.
We are currently running a contest with @boristhefeedingtubefrenchie to help raise awareness and help with Boris's ongoing medical expenses and needs.
