We love when we get the chance to work with an organization that truly epitomizes our mission. This month's charity checks all of those boxes: Two Hands Four Paws is California's premier animal rehabilitation center, offering therapeutic services for animals struggling with mobility and physical limitations.
Two Hands Four Paws relies on a mix of hydrotherapy (utilizing full-sized pools for swimming and underwater treadmills for low-impact exercise and physical therapy), massage therapy, balance and strengthening exercises, and more to help pets recover from surgery, lose weight, and reduce pain from conditions like arthritis and hip dysplasia.
What's more, Two Hands Four Paws is also a leader in experimental and highly specialized treatments for pets, like acupuncture, homeopathy, cold laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, and e-stimulation to give dogs and other animals the best possible quality of life they can offer. Yes, you read that right -- acupuncture for dogs!!
This cause is especially near and dear to our hearts because French Bulldogs (the wonderful pups we named our organization after, like our lovely Leo) are a breed that is particularly susceptible to hip dysplasia and the other mobility issues that Two Hands Four Paws seeks to alleviate.
We're so happy to work with an organization looking to make our four-legged friends' lives more comfortable, especially as our lifelong companions get "up there" in years. There is so much we can do to improve quality of life in senior dogs and dogs with mobility problems, disabilities, or handicaps, and we are honored to be able to make a difference with this organization.
In addition to the organization's work in animal rehabilitation, Two Hands Four Paws also operates a charitable arm through the Two Hands Four Paws Foundation. This non-profit corporation is dedicated to providing a high quality of life, specifically improved mobility, to small animals that might otherwise not have the means or access to receive it.
Through the Foundation, Two Hands Four Paws team members work with veterinarians, physical rehabilitation professionals, mobility-aid companies, and others to formalize the ad-hoc fundraising efforts and personal donations that did not come close to supporting every animal (dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, and beyond) that came through the doors of the rehab center.
At Frenchie Bulldog Pet Supply, we are delighted to work with an organization that so closely matches our values, and support a Foundation that supports the animals we love. A portion of our February proceeds will go directly to Two Hands Four Paws, so we encourage you to make a difference with your purchases today!
